Testimonials

100% recommend this sailing school!! My boyfriend did the 103 and 104 classes back to back – and I joined him for the 104 bareboat class. We HIGHLY recommend opting for the live aboard option because cooking meals as a group and waking up with coffee on the water is truly unbeatable. One of the highlights of the course was the instructor, Wipers, who was not only a very patient and practical teacher but also great entertainment as he has many tales to tell! Keep in mind that this is not a luxury yacht and while all the basics are provided – it does not come with amenities you would expect at a hotel (this is the case for any bareboat sailing course). If you think of it like glamping on the water then you’ll have an amazing adventure. TIP: Buy and bring your ASA book to the course. There is a lot of material and you will enjoy your experience more if you are able to follow along and review with your own book!

I took the ASA103 and 104 courses and could not have been more pleased with the experience. Marianna was welcoming and helped ensure everything went as well as possible. She loves sailing and does everything to ensure all the students achieve their goals. Wipers, my instructor, was patient and extremely knowledgeable about sailing. He understood that all the students came from different backgrounds and needed different instruction and guidance. We each felt that we received the guidance and practice that we needed to improve our comfort and competence under sail. I could not recommend the school or the experience any higher. I plan on returning to Wet & Salty for additional classes in the future.

I recently completed the 9-day sailing course with Wet and Salty Sailing School, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! Living aboard *Less Stress* was such a unique and rewarding adventure. Wipers, our instructor, is not only an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced sailor but also an amazing cook—his pasta dishes are truly unforgettable! What stood out most was Wipers’ patience and dedication to ensuring we all understood the material and applied it safely. He took the time to work with each of us individually, making sure we were confident in our skills. His safety-conscious approach gave me complete peace of mind throughout the course. Additionally, Marianna was a pleasure to work with. She was always considerate and prompt in responding to all my inquiries, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. I cannot recommend Wet and Salty Sailing School enough! If you’re looking to learn sailing from a team that is passionate, skilled, and genuinely cares about their students, this is the place to go. Thank you, Wipers and Marianna, for an unforgettable experience!
