The winning boat will get their names engraved on the coveted “Twisted Sheet Regatta” trophy on display in the GLSC office. And of course, bragging rights. Each boat will get a perf rating to make it fair but unfair antics that give an advantage are always encouraged.

Ken and Kimberli Bindschatel have been happily married for 32 years and have called the Traverse City area home since 1999. Together, they’ve been sailing the Great Lakes region—exploring the North Channel, Door County, Lake Superior, and the stunning Grand Traverse Bay—since 2013 aboard their Marlow Hunter 40. Their passion for sailing is matched by their love for sharing it with both new and experienced sailors.
Most recently, they spent seven months living aboard a catamaran while cruising through the beautiful Bahamas. Kimberli is a US Coast Guard licensed captain and an ASA instructor, further enhancing their sailing expertise and commitment to helping others discover the joys of life on the water.
