Join us at Marina Kaštela at 3 PM, where you’ll meet your fellow sailors and instructor. After acquainting yourself with your new abode for the upcoming week, your instructor will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and walk you through the course itinerary. Soon after, your journey begins! On the first night, you’ll anchor in a picturesque natural bay, a brief sail away on the island of Brać. Use the dinghy to reach the shore and relish a delightful meal at a charming local eatery.
Embrace the yacht life by taking a refreshing morning plunge off the stern! Following breakfast, the voyage continues towards the enchanting island of Korčula. A brief pause in a serene bay for lunch and a potential swim will invigorate you for further learning. As your instructor delves into the course syllabus, you’ll gradually acclimate to the rhythms of the sea, finding your sea legs along the way.
Following a rejuvenating morning yoga session, you’ll engage in crafting a passage plan before embarking on a journey to the tranquil island of Šćedro. Here, you’ll discover a serene anchorage, a world apart from bustling modern cities, offering a nostalgic glimpse into the authentic Dalmatian lifestyle.
Embarking on an early departure, you’ll sail to the captivating island of Vis, unveiling a hidden beach for a delightful lunch, with the added excitement of cave swimming en route. For those craving an adrenaline rush, the opportunity for cliff jumping awaits. Post-lunch, your voyage continues to the western shores of the island, revealing the enchanting village of Komiža, a charming gem waiting to be explored.
A leisurely morning awaits, allowing you to venture and uncover the splendors of Vis. Consider scooters or classic ’60s VW Beetles for your exploration. Delve into wine tours or ascend the hill for a breathtaking Adriatic vista. Following lunch, your voyage resumes, guiding you to the island’s alternate side. An evening of delight awaits with a traditional ‘peka’ dinner, a culinary experience you’re bound to savor!
Few experiences rival a morning spent seated at a café on the riva, a stone’s throw from your yacht, indulging in freshly baked pastries and espresso. The charm of Vis is truly captivating. Today’s destination is undoubtedly the pinnacle of the week: Hvar. Upon reaching the shores, take a leisurely stroll to the fort for an invigorating hike, or relish a mojito at the renowned Hula Hula bar while basking in one of the most unforgettable sunsets you’ll ever witness.
The final day entails your ASA exams and a return sail to Marina Kaštela. Make the most of the marina amenities, indulging in a refreshing shower and utilizing the laundry facilities, especially if your journey continues. In the evening, you have the option to complete your theory tests before enjoying dinner at another fantastic local restaurant, or savor a night of onboard dining, accompanied by wine and card games.
Conclude your experience with a final breakfast debriefing, marking the moment of your transition from a Sailing Virgin! By 9am, it’s time to disembark the yacht, whether you’re bound for the airport or planning further explorations in Split. Are you a Game of Thrones enthusiast?
