A LEARN-TO-SAIL VACATION

hosted by Naos Yachts
  • 2026: November 14–20
  • 7 Days | 6 Nights
  • 103 / 104 / 114

Overview

Spend 7 days sailing through French Polynesia aboard an Excess 11 performance cruising catamaran while earning your ASA 103, 104, and 114 certifications. Practice offshore sailing between the islands, learn how to navigate safely through coral lagoons, and gain the skills to enter reef passes with confidence.

Unlike a traditional ASA sailing course, this immersive program combines the standard curriculum with real-world cruising experience in one of the world’s most spectacular sailing destinations. You’ll learn not only how to sail, but also how to safely cruise the islands while experiencing both their incredible beauty and the unique challenges they present.

CERTIFICATIONS

Learn to sail a 38ft-rigged catamaran under sail and auxiliary power during a 7-day cruise through French Polynesia in moderate to heavy winds and sea conditions. Gain hands-on experience with provisioning, galley operations, boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, routine maintenance procedures, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation (including basic chart plotting and GPS operation), docking, health and safety, emergency operations, weather interpretation, and dinghy/tender operation.

You’ll also learn about catamaran structure, components, and features, as well as performance under sail and power, boat systems, seamanship, safety, heavy weather operation, and emergency response.

Prerequisite: ASA 101
