A flotilla is a collection of boats sailing in unison, journeying from one breathtaking destination to the next, combining the thrill of being on the water with the excitement of exploring ashore. For this flotilla, we’re keeping it intimate with just 3 boats, ensuring a boutique sailing experience for an unforgettable week. La Paz, Mexico

Sailing the waters around La Paz, Mexico, is a truly magical experience. Nestled in the Sea of Cortez, often referred to as the “Aquarium of the World,” La Paz offers crystal-clear turquoise waters, calm seas, and stunning, unspoiled islands just offshore. With no Pacific ground swell, the waters are as smooth as a lake, making for relaxed and enjoyable sailing conditions.

As you glide through these pristine waters, you’ll encounter a variety of marine life, from playful dolphins to majestic whale sharks and colonies of sea lions. The islands around La Paz, like Isla Espíritu Santo and Isla Partida, feature secluded coves, white-sand beaches, and dramatic rock formations. The anchorage spots are tranquil, offering incredible opportunities for snorkeling, paddleboarding, and exploring onshore.

The combination of peaceful, protected bays and the vibrant underwater world makes sailing in La Paz a captivating blend of adventure and serenity. Whether you’re relaxing on deck or exploring the marine life below, the natural beauty of this region creates an unforgettable sailing experience.

Flotilla Highlights:

• Dates: April 26 – May 02, 2025
• No certification required! Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or brand new, everyone is welcome. There will be plenty of hands-on sailing for those looking to learn or brush up on their skills. Sponsored by American Sailing, we encourage participants to come back for certifications at a future event.
• Intimate group: With a maximum of 18 guests across 3 yachts, we’ll keep this first-year event personal and fun.

Yacht Options:

• Lagoon 38′ Catamaran – $4,495 per double cabin (max 6 guests)
  Owners version with 3 double cabins, including the owners cabin which will be an additional $500.

• Fountaine Pajot 44′ Catamaran (Max 8 guests) – $4,495 per double cabin (max 8 guests)
  4 double cabins with crew in the cockpit.

• 45′ DuFour Monohull – $3,995 per double cabin (max 6 guests)
  4 double cabins.

DEPOSITS / PAYMENTS / CANCELLATIONS

• An initial Deposit of 40% secures your cabin.
• All registrations must be paid in full by March 14th, 2025.
• Before March 3rd, 2025, you will receive a refund of all payments, minus 50% of the initial deposit.
• After March 3rd, 2025, the trip is non-cancellable and non-refundable.
• A late fee of $15 per day will be applied for payments not made by the due date. If payment is not received within 10 days of the due date, the booking will be canceled, and all deposits paid will be forfeited.

What’s Included:

• Airport Transfers from La Paz International Airport (LAP), just 20 minutes from our sailing base at Marina Costa Baja.
• Mexican Fiesta Welcome Buffet: Celebrate your arrival with a fiesta from 6-8 PM on Saturday night, followed by an overnight stay aboard your yacht in the luxurious Marina Costa Baja. The marina boasts 4 fantastic restaurants (Spanish, Mexican, Sushi, Seafood), a gourmet market, bakery/coffee shop, crew showers, and a private beach.
• Chef-prepared meals: Each yacht will be fully provisioned with 3 delicious meals per day, including two nights of fresh fish and one night of jumbo shrimp.
• Island Adventures:
  • Snorkel with sea lions for a full day.
  • Beach party at Balandra Bay, one of Mexico’s top 10 beaches.
  • Another beach party at Ensenada Grande, ranked as one of the world’s most beautiful beaches.
• Water sports: SUPs, snorkel gear, kayaks, and a dinghy with a motor are available for use at every anchorage.
• Concierge service: Whether you need help arranging accommodations like upscale marina hotel rooms, golf villas, or more budget-friendly options such as the Marriott or Airbnb, our dedicated concierge will ensure a seamless experience.

TRAVEL

The flotilla will depart from the marina in La Paz, Mexico. Direct flights from LAX. Cabo San Lucas is an approximate 2-hour drive away and flight arrive at San Jose Del Cabo.
