There are Caribbean sailing vacations—and then there are expeditions. American Sailing Vacations has partnered with American Sailing School Caribbean Sail Training in Antigua for a “Level Up” sailing experience of a lifetime.
Step aboard Spirit of Juno, a legendary Farr 65 built for circumnavigations, transatlantic crossings, and serious offshore performance. With a Kevlar-reinforced hull and pedigree rooted in round-the-world racing, Juno is more than a yacht. She’s a platform for sailors ready to push beyond the ordinary.
This is not a passive charter experience.
This is hands-on seamanship in one of the most breathtaking cruising grounds in the world.
Explore the Hidden Caribbean while leveling up your offshore sailing skills alongside professional crew and like-minded adventurers.
Most sailors see the Caribbean from crowded anchorages and predictable itineraries.
Juno was built for more.
Her offshore capabilities allow us to safely and comfortably reach remote islands, hidden harbors, and untamed coastlines many cruising yachts avoid. Along the way, you’ll combine exhilarating offshore passages with authentic exploration ashore.
This expedition is designed for sailors looking to transition from smaller boats into the world of larger yachts and offshore passagemaking.
On Juno, you become part of the crew.
You’ll gain practical experience managing a high-performance 65-foot offshore yacht while building confidence in real-world sailing conditions.
Juno’s powerful yet stable design creates a safe environment to challenge yourself, expand your capabilities, and experience offshore sailing the way it was meant to be.
*Please Note. Arrival and departure transfers, soft drinks, Nespresso capsules, alcoholic beverages, water sports, shore excursions (including meals and drinks on shore), and gratuities are not included in the total price.
Each deluxe, 130-140 sq ft stateroom offers en-suite facilities, ports for natural light and individual air conditioning systems.
*Max occupancy per cabin: 2
This is authentic offshore sailing—not luxury chartering.
Accommodations feature Juno’s original open-plan racing layout with 14 bunks, designed for function, teamwork, and real passagemaking. Life aboard is immersive, communal, and unforgettable.
You’ll leave with more than photos.
You’ll leave with experience, confidence, and sea stories that stay with you forever.
Join the crew in historic Nelson’s Dockyard. Safety briefings, vessel orientation, and “The Juno Method” induction.
Hands-on training managing a 30-ton offshore yacht. Helming, reefing, deck movement, and systems familiarization.
Set sail for Dominica or Guadeloupe. Focus on watchkeeping, sail trim, navigation, and life offshore.
Step ashore for hiking, waterfalls, volcanic hot springs, or local cultural experiences.
A spirited sail toward Barbuda or Nevis with navigation exercises and night-entry preparation.
Return to Antigua and put your new offshore skills into practice during a sustained offshore leg.
