Sailors on the Spirit of Juno

Real Offshore Sailing. The Caribbean Few Ever See.

There are Caribbean sailing vacations—and then there are expeditions. American Sailing Vacations has partnered with American Sailing School Caribbean Sail Training in Antigua for a “Level Up” sailing experience of a lifetime.

Step aboard Spirit of Juno, a legendary Farr 65 built for circumnavigations, transatlantic crossings, and serious offshore performance. With a Kevlar-reinforced hull and pedigree rooted in round-the-world racing, Juno is more than a yacht. She’s a platform for sailors ready to push beyond the ordinary.

This is not a passive charter experience.
This is hands-on seamanship in one of the most breathtaking cruising grounds in the world.

Explore the Hidden Caribbean while leveling up your offshore sailing skills alongside professional crew and like-minded adventurers.

Sail Beyond the Tourist Caribbean

Most sailors see the Caribbean from crowded anchorages and predictable itineraries.

Juno was built for more.

Her offshore capabilities allow us to safely and comfortably reach remote islands, hidden harbors, and untamed coastlines many cruising yachts avoid. Along the way, you’ll combine exhilarating offshore passages with authentic exploration ashore.

Destinations May Include:

  • Montserrat: Sail past the Caribbean’s modern-day Pompeii and explore volcanic landscapes unlike anywhere else in the region.
  • Dominica: The “Nature Island” of the Caribbean. Rainforests, waterfalls, river trekking, and untouched beauty.
  • Barbuda: Miles of pink sand beaches, crystal-clear water, and total isolation.
  • Nevis: Quiet anchorages, colonial charm, and authentic Caribbean culture.
  • Guadeloupe: French-Caribbean energy mixed with world-class hiking and lush tropical scenery.

The Mission: Level Up Your Seamanship

This expedition is designed for sailors looking to transition from smaller boats into the world of larger yachts and offshore passagemaking.

On Juno, you become part of the crew.

You’ll gain practical experience managing a high-performance 65-foot offshore yacht while building confidence in real-world sailing conditions.

What You’ll Learn

  • Big boat handling and sail management
  • Offshore watch systems and passage routines
  • Heavy-weather sail changes and reefing techniques
  • Navigation and night-entry preparation
  • Crew coordination and communication
  • Offshore safety and seamanship fundamentals

Juno’s powerful yet stable design creates a safe environment to challenge yourself, expand your capabilities, and experience offshore sailing the way it was meant to be.
