Whilst completing your courses around the British Virgin Islands you can also enjoy a vacation in the sun, explore onshore bars and restaurants, snorkel our amazing coral reefs and discover white sand beaches. Our itineraries are built around the BVI’s main islands, Tortola, Norman Island, Peter Island, Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Jost Van Dyke, and their surrounding gems.
This learn-to-sail vacation with Horizon Sailing School can offer a selection of the following certifications:
¤ ASA 103 | COASTAL CRUISING
¤ ASA 104 | BAREBOAT CRUISING
¤ ASA 114 | CRUISING CATAMARAN
This course is open to students who are previously certified ASA 101 or have equivalent experience level (24 hours of on water experience and knowledge of these topics). We also recommend this course to students who are already certified and want more time on water before bareboating. The maximum number of learning students onboard will be 6. You may also bring along friends and family who are not learning but would like to join the vacation.
Depart Nanny Cay Marina and sail past The Indians before anchoring at Norman Island.
Explore The Bight and The Caves at Norman Island, then continue on to Cooper Island.
Sail from Cooper Island to The Baths on Virgin Gorda, ending the day at Marina Cay.
Cruise past The Dogs and continue to North Sound, Virgin Gorda.
Sail from North Sound to Guana Island, then continue on to Jost Van Dyke.
Depart Jost Van Dyke, stopping at Sandy Cay, before anchoring at Cane Garden Bay.
Sail from Cane Garden Bay to Soper’s Hole, then continue to Peter Island.
Return to Nanny Cay Marina.
