Whilst completing your courses around the BVI you can also enjoy a vacation in the sun, explore onshore bars and restaurants, snorkel our amazing coral reefs and discover white sand beaches. Our itineraries are built around the BVI’s main islands, Tortola, Norman Island, Peter Island, Cooper Island, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Jost Van Dyke, and their surrounding gems.
This monohull learn-to-sail vacation with Horizon Sailing School covers the certifications you need to bareboat a monohull:
¤ ASA 101 | KEELBOAT SAILING 1
¤ ASA 103 | COASTAL CRUISING
¤ ASA 104 | BAREBOAT CRUISING
This course is open to all levels of experience, no prior experience necessary. The maximum number of learning students onboard will be 6. You may also bring along friends and family who are not learning but would like to join the vacation.
Depart Nanny Cay Marina and sail past The Indians before anchoring at Norman Island.
Explore The Bight and The Caves at Norman Island, then continue on to Cooper Island.
Sail from Cooper Island to The Baths on Virgin Gorda, ending the day at Marina Cay.
Cruise past The Dogs and continue to North Sound, Virgin Gorda.
Sail from North Sound to Guana Island, then continue on to Jost Van Dyke.
Depart Jost Van Dyke, stopping at Sandy Cay, before anchoring at Cane Garden Bay.
Sail from Cane Garden Bay to Soper’s Hole, then continue to Peter Island.
Return to Nanny Cay Marina.
