If you’re a big boat sailor, and you’ve been thinking about chartering yourself, this flotilla is a great way to start! Learn all the tips and tricks for provisioning, mooring, anchoring, voyage planning, and finding the best adventures along the way from our experienced skippers.
The BVI is a perfect destination for a first charter sailing experience. Most of the sailing is in the protected waters of the Sir Francis Drake channel, not in the open ocean, and the tradewinds provide ideal sailing conditions on most days. There are many islands to visit, but the navigation is relatively simple, and mostly line of sight. Enjoy several hours of sailing each day followed by swimming, snorkeling, beach combing, hiking, or just sitting on the beach researching your favorite rum drink.
