Highlights: The crew of the Arabella was outstanding, and the experience of Martha’s Vineyard and the surrounding area was simply beautiful. I hadn’t even thought of sailing in that area until we experienced it.
Least Favorite: The crew was really upbeat, engaged, and excited until the owner boarded the Arabella. It was a true shift in their spirits when he boarded. He made a few digs about crews during the morning briefing that I thought were ill-timed and presented; especially to a group of people on vacation. The crew was amazing – full stop! This would not stop me from sailing on the Arabella again; and I really did like the owner. The ASA information needs to be updated to match the Arabella survey – specifically on the tip amounts.
Recommend To A Friend: Absolutely! The Arabella is breathtaking and the region is gorgeous.
Comments: Please offer it again.

Hightlights: Everything with the boat, crew, food, destinations, and organization was outstanding.
Least Favorite: Unfortunately we didn’t much wind so could only sail one out of 6 days. Just bad luck.
The AC didn’t cool very well so it was slightly warmer than we wanted in the cabin.
Recommend To A Friend: Yes
Comments: The crew on the Chronos did a very good job taking care of the guests.
The food on board was outstanding quality and variety. They provided my wife with dairy-free meals throughout the trip.
Time at each destination on the Amalfi coast was timed well. We had adequate time to tour/shop, but not too much time.
The room was nice and as advertised. The room was certainly nicer than any other sailboat I’ve been on.
I thought the price was good and reasonable. If we had enough wind to sail most days and the AC worked better then this would have been a totally amazing vacation.
It would have been nice if one of the crew knew about the region and could tell us some history or recent news about the cities/islands, citizens, etc.

Hightlights: Listening to everyone’s stories and walking around the ancient cities of Croatia. We also loved the excursions that were offered. Dancing with our new friends to ABBA was “life changing”, lol!
Least Favorite: The breakfasts, while expansive and having many options, needed to be switched up a bit. I realize this has more to do with the Cataleya than American Sailing. Fully cooked eggs and less salty bacon and more fruit would have been helpful! Black out curtains over the portholes would have been helpful as the lights were definitely bright shining in if you were on the main deck as we were (we hung clothes over the curtain rods to block as much as we could!).
Recommend To A Friend: Yes, I already have!!
